Gaming controller with TMR technology advertisement

All TMR gaming controllers

Right now, there are only a handful of controllers using TMR joysticks, but more are on the way. So, is TMR actually better than Hall Effect? In theory, yes – it offers greater precision and consumes less power. They are also usually at least 1000Hz polling rate. Let’s check out what’s currently available:

Black camo pattern wireless gaming controller.

Gamesir Tarantula PRO – Gamesir own developed mag-res TMR joysticks, 9 mappable buttons, 1000Hz polling rate, software for customization, works with PC, Switch, iOS and Android. Also has a button switch feature between Switch and Xbox layouts. Priced at $69. Biggest con: face buttons are a bit stiff to press.

White and gray gaming controller with buttons.

BIGBIG WON Blitz 2 Gaming Controller (TMR model) – The white/grey version comes with TMR joysticks, while the orange one uses ALPS joysticks. It has a 2000Hz polling rate, gyro support, and all-mechanical buttons! Specs are super impressive. Biggest con: is can be uncomfortable for some people.

White and red wireless gaming controller.

Gamesir Cyclone 2 – Only around $49.99, great budget controller with lots of features – TMR sticks, mechanical face buttons and Dpad, trigger locks and it’s really comfortable in hands. Very similar to G7 SE in feeling. Wireless and there’s a version with a dock only a couple of bucks more expensive.

White modern gaming controller isolated on white.

Gulikit KK3 TMR – this is the standard edition of KK3 Max, but with TMR joysticks and hall effect triggers. Great budget price at only $39.99. Biggest con: the joystick rings are small.

Black video game controller close-up.

Gulikit Libra Max/KK3 variation – Still awaiting release, it features Gulikit TMR joysticks and is similar to the KK3 Max, but with symmetrical joystick placement.

Yellow, worn video game controller.

PB Tails Crush Defender Controller – it was the first TMR joystick controller released. It has super weird dirty design that I’m not a fan of.

White gaming controller on wooden background.

Beitong Kunpeng 20 – this comes from a well known Chinese brand that’s completely anonymous for Western users. Controller feels very sturdy, buttons and Dpad are micro switch, joysticks are nice, there’a trigger lock. Very solid new option. Around $50 on Aliexpress, probably won’t be available on Amazon anytime soon.
